ATCO Pest Control is proud to highlight Max Fischer, Manager of ATCO’s Specialty Department. Max has been part of the ATCO family for five years and brings 17 years of industry experience to the team.
From Construction to Pest Control
Before entering pest control, Max worked in the construction field, where his attention to structural detail became a strong foundation for understanding how pests interact with buildings. “I already knew how homes were built,” Max explains. “Learning pest control just meant understanding what was living inside those structures.”
What Max Manages
Max oversees ATCO’s Specialty Department, which handles the more complex and specialized pest management needs — including termite work, bed bug treatments, and other services that require advanced training and licensing. His team is responsible for some of the most detail-intensive work ATCO performs.
A Day in the Field
No two days are the same in pest control, and that’s something Max genuinely appreciates. “You’re always solving a puzzle,” he says. “Every home is different, every infestation has its own story. You have to think through it systematically.”
That systems-thinking approach is what sets ATCO apart from companies that treat pest control as a routine spray-and-go service. Max and his team bring a diagnostic mindset to every job — inspecting thoroughly, recommending solutions that match the specific situation, and treating only what is necessary.
Family and Community
Max is a Bay Area native and a proud father of three. Outside of work, he enjoys youth sports coaching and spending time outdoors with his family. He believes strongly in the ATCO mission of eco-conscious, effective pest management that protects both families and the environment.
